96B No. 11 - New Java and Catimor Blend
ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
96B’s new signature blend of Java and Catimor features bright acidity, a soft floral accent, and lasting stone fruit notes. This coffee is best prepared using drip or cold brew methods.
The Java beans used in NO. 11 are referred to as “longberry” by the farmer; this term describes the shape of the seed rather than indicating a specific Arabica variety.
These beans were brought directly to Java from Ethiopia by Dutch agricultural researcher P.J.S. Cramer and became quite popular in Indonesia. Abyssinia is characterized by its tall, broad form, elongated large beans, and bronze-colored new leaves. (Source: 96B Roastery)
Likely originating from Indonesia, the Java variety has traveled through Laos and is now cultivated at Vuong Farm in Da Nghit, Lac Duong, Lam Dong.
