Here’s our attempt to recreate the famous Vienna coffee in a Moka pot using our blend No. 1 Revo Origin. You can substitute with any medium-dark and dark roasts to produce a bold, rich, and creamy cup depending on your preference.

INGREDIENTS

  • 20-22gram fine ground medium-dark roast coffee(~0.7-0.8oz)

  • 1/3 cup of heavy whipping cream

  • 2-3 teaspoons of sugar

  • 1/4 teaspoon of rum extract (optional)

  • Some cocoa powder

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Moka Pot Coffee

    • Fill up coffee to the filter chamber.

    • Boil water, and fill the bottom half of your Moka pot with water that’s fresh off the boil.

    • Screw on the Moka pot’s spouted top. The bottom chamber will be hot. Be careful!

    • Place the pot on a stove set to medium-low heat.

    • You know it’s done when you hear a hissing, bubbling sound. Learn how to make perfect Moka pot step-by-step here.

  2. Whipped Cream

  • For the whipped cream, whisk up heavy cream, sugar, and rum extract until the mixture gets thicken. I prefer the cream is still a little runny as seen in the video.

  • Add 3 spoons of cream to your coffee and dust some cocoa on top to finish.
